Hannah’s Chairs
This annual event was a fun and successful fundraiser for Hannah House. During the winter of 2013, the volunteer members of the Board of Directors are developing a plan to continue the mission of Hannah House in a financially sustainable way. Fundraising events for the future will be announced later this year.
Review and thanks for the 2012 event:
Hannah’s Chairs 2012 was our most complete event to date. Besides auctioning off 10 Adirondack chairs painted by Upper Valley artists, we auctioned off a number of wonderful vacation get-aways to places all around the United States and the Caribbean. Donated items from dozens of Upper Valley businesses were included in our Silent Auction. New in 2012 was several pieces of furniture, painted by area artists. And for the second time, we had several rustic hand crafted bird houses from the American South-West by David Bruce, 10 Adirondack chairs painted and crafted by Upper Valley artists, four painted stools, a painted mitten box, paintings and many wonderful items in our Silent Auction. The music by the Eric Bronstein Trio provided an intimate backdrop to the food and fun of over 100 attendees during the silent auction and after the live auction. Hannah’s Chairs VII was our most successful fundraising event to date, raising over $34,000 for our outreach programs and for our special project to address our information technology needs. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the sponsors, underwriters and businesses who donated to us and made this event so successful.
Hannah’s Chairs VII Underwriters: Doug and Leslie Williamson, Peltzer Capital Management, Barbara Callahan, Carl and Laurie Hanson
