"Equisse"
by Rizzie and Randy Walker

Every year, Hannah House's multi-talented Executive Director creates a chair for this event. This year, he collaborated with his daughter, Rizzie, to bring us a chair whose title refers to the first paper sketch of a picture, model, or arcitectural work. An equisse (also spelled esquisse) is often done on onion-skin tracing paper, and this subtle chair has coloring reminiscent of that medium. This chair also folds up - as befits its theme of the artist at work and on the run! Randy tells us the concept for this chair was Rizzie's, and he took the project over as she left for Nashville to do a summer internship - fittingly, in an architectural firm!
